A visit by Syed Asim AP2SAH was carried out to Changla for improving the performance of Experimental Crossband VHF/UHF repeater. Previous settings were UHF receive with VHF out. This time AP2SAH homebrewed a circuit that was capable to transmit vice versa. AP2JUR and AP2AUM were giving ground support to SAH.

Both the antennas were removed, opened and cable connectors serviced and the re-installed. The repeater controller was thoroughly tested however due to some technical reasons the Amplifier from VHF end needed to be removed.

The backup automobile battery have been removed and newer dry maintenance free batteries have been installed.

At the moment the repeater is up and running on 145.930 and 434.700 with only 5 watts. With TX and RX interchangable.

The signal is ok given the fact that it is 5 watts only but would need further improvement.

thanks to AP2SAH for taking time out and resolving this issue.
