Repeater maintenance activity went well. Its back to its original state with good RX and TX reports from all around. A back up battery has been added to the setup to counter any load shedding issues. It was tested with main power lines disconnected and it performed as per the expectations.
Tail squelch has also been reduced to 1 second which made a remarkable difference on the cross link repeaters. The users in far flung areas connected via cross link will no longer have tail squelch and speech disconnection issues. We tested it through 2 only available stations (ap2ars\n and ap2mkb) and they reported considerable improvement. Thanks to ap2nk, ap2mks, ap2mf, ap2sta,ap2mkb, ap2ars\n and ap2ars\y for making the today's activity a success. Some more pleasant changes have been made to the network extending the coverage radius to a great deal, and with the passage of time those using repeaters it will surely be noticed  . Hams operating in central KPK (mardan, charsadda, swabi, Mkd) can now easily access the repeater with a simple 5 watt handheld. |
