Special thanks to Abdus Samad for providing us vehicle for a comfortable journey as well :).

The team left at 8AM and started off with following major activities:

1. Repeater's backup power supply was fired. It was not charging the battery. Battery was found to be on 7.5v. Battery was taken off and put to charge.
2. The external amplifier was not doing anything. It was taken out. The new amplifier we brought also did not work as expected.
3. Repeater's regulated power source was tapped for an external connection. this can be used for future expansion
4. Tx connector was redone as it was found loose.
5. Rx antenna was changed to old Repeater one with a new coax. The job nicely executed by Abdus Samad and Shehzad Hamid.
6. Tx Antenna was changed but signal reports from Papa areas were not good so after a bit of experimentation we went back to old antenna. The connectors were cleaned up for a sparkling signal for Papa Area.
7. Last report from Papa area was 55 on a 5w base station.

Following HAMs/SWLs supported the activity:

1. Khalid Shoaib AP2MKS from attock
2. Karim AP2MKB
3. Mohsin Aziz (SWL)
4. Yasir bhai from Papa Area
5. Nadeem bhai AP2NAS from papa area

The activity was concluded by 5PM and the team headed back to homes.

Repeater is working fine after the maintenance. It is important that such periodic maintenance trip are taken for maintenance so that equipment is kept in good working order. For this all HAMs/SWL members must come forward and volunteer. It is a great learning opportunity for SWL and new HAMs as you get hands on experience and learn from old HAMs.

Thank you all who participated and supported the activity.
