20 Aug update - Pir Sabak and Kaptan Kalay
Two Shahzores left for Pir Sabak and Kaptan Kalay this morning. Both were loaded with packaged ration for 100 families and 60 families respectively. Waqas Bhai and Asif spearheaded the operation and was joined by Burhan (Laparwah) on Mardan interchange exit. One Shahzore was sent off to Kaptan Kalay which is being supervised by a friend Ishtiaq Ibrahim. Have just been intimated that 60 families representatives were called to his house and they were handed over the packages. These 60 were identified as the most needy and deserving by our survey team. List and pics of distribution will be availble to us by tonight.
The second Shahzore was destined for Pir Sabak. 100 most needy families were already identified by Dr. Masil (our on ground rep). The food has been offloaded at an adjacent village. These 100 families representatives will be called by Dr. Masil tonight and each will be handed over his packet. A form will be duly filled by the head of the household which would include his credentials and other details. The same form would be used by our survey team to cross verify during our next visit. Just to clarify the situation as to why commodity was offloaded at a separate place and not distributed in the village......... We were reported law and order situation last time when the food was being distributed. The reason being that we managed food for approximately 500 souls whereas the village population is above 15000.
